I’ve spent a LOT of time sorting through other people’s pajamas and loungewear, and here’s what I can tell you: Most of it is sad with a capital “S.” Even my most stylish clients have confessed that they can be found sleeping in their ratty sweats from college because they haven’t found a good alternative that provides the same level of comfort. Everything I’ve come across in The-Great-Hunt-for-Cute-Sleepwear has fallen into one of two categories: Bachelorette party gone bad or total SCHLUB.
After years of looking I’ve finally found a line of cozy, comfy, and chic sleepwear that I’d be proud to answer the door in! Cue the confetti – I’m sharing some of my top picks from my new favorite independent sleepwear line, Domi.
Next up: the light cotton robe I’ve been living in (even though my daughter’s have both tried to steal it). Hands off!
And finally: PJ sets! I am one of those people who is always hot so I favor the lightweight cami sleep set, especially for summer. For those who prefer to stay warmer and cozier, I am loving both the oversized boyfriend fit, and the shrunken set if you prefer a more fitted look.
A little goes a long way in this category! My current sleepwear capsule includes one nightgown, two sets of pjs, a cami sleep set, and my new favorite robe. I would always rather have a handful of lovely, high quality items, than an overstuffed drawer filled with items I don’t really love.
Fun facts about the brand: Founder Ali Blankley’s collection was inspired by a trip through the state of Gujarat in India. It was there that she fell in love with the simple organic fabrics woven by local village artisans. Since it’s beginning in 2013, Domi has evolved organically, and they’ve recently launched a small collection of organic t-shirt basics. Domi only uses organic cottons for their garments because organic farming creates better working conditions and a safer world for us all. Born and raised in Canada, Ali has lived and worked on both US coasts, and she’s currently designing and shipping from her light filled studio in the Los Feliz neighborhood in Los Angeles.
**For full disclosure, Domi gifted me a few pieces from their collection, but this is not a sponsored post and there are no affiliate links included.
