We have some lavender growing in our garden, and I’m going to give this simple recipe a whirl with my girls for their next lemonade stand. Maybe we can impress the neighbors…
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 tablespoons lavender buds
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
cold water and ice
1. In a small saucepan, bring water, sugar, and lavender to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes. Allow to cool. Strain the lavender liquid into a pitcher.
2. Add in lemon juice with ice, and about 4 cups of water. Taste for strength.
Thinking this would also be a great cocktail with a splash of vodka, no?
