I am not a master chef, my kids are super picky and I am short on time. I have been getting a failing grade on dinner for the last few years but now I have come up with a new plan! I am hoping that by assigning a theme to each night of the week and alternating variety and sides when we get bored I can tackle this meal planning thing once and for all. Check out my plan below:
Monday– Burger Night – Turkey, Beef, Chicken w/ Served with Sweet Potato Fries, Onion Rings, Roasted Potatoes or Roasted Cauliflower
Tuesday – Mexican – Grilled Chicken, Carnitas, Fish, Bean and Cheese, Enchiladas/ Served with Corn and Bean Salad or Chips and Guacamole
Wednesday – Pasta Night – Pesto, Mac and Cheese, Spaghetti and Meatballs/ Served with Snap Pea Cucumber Salad, Rapini, or Roasted Broccolini
Thursday– Wild Card Night (i.e Take Out Sushi, Thai, Chinese etc.)
Friday – Chicken Night – Roasted Chicken, Chicken Milanese, Chicken Strips / Served with Cous Cous, Root Veggies or Orzo
Saturday – Asian Night – Lemon Chicken, Peanut Sauce Noodles, Stir Fry, Potstickers, Chicken Satay / Served with Cucumber Salad or Bok Choy
Sunday – Pizza Bar – Sausage, Goat Cheese, Spinach, Caramelized Onions, Bacon, Grilled Veggies
Love this!
Have you checked out the fresh 20? They sell meal plans that include shopping lists, recipes, and nutritional information. I have no affiliation with them, but every night that I make a tasty, healthy dinner in half an hour I feel a wave of gratitude. My kids hate it though.
You go girl! Sounds awesome. I look forward to hearing how it goes and how the kiddos take to it (and if this sort of planning really does help).
